I first tried this drink when we had brunch at Fig & Olive in Newport Beach. If you prefer your drink refreshing but not to sweet you have to try this cocktail. I am so in love with this French style drink, rosemary syrup, gin and muddled blackberries topped off with fresh lime-juice. I want to go to France and order this drink! If you are not the biggest gin drinker --go ahead and mix in your choice of vodka.

HOW TO MAKE ROSEMARY FLAVORED SYRUP; 1 Cup Water, 1 Tbsp Sugar and Fresh Rosemary
Add sugar and water in a pan and simmer it on low heat while you keep stirring it. For every cup of syrup you want to make add 1 tbsp of sugar. Add a small branch of fresh rosemary and lower the heat, let the rosemary sit in the syrup for quite some while. Maybe after and hour the syrup will cool and have a hint of that rosemary flavor.

1/4 Cup Blackberries(you can use other berries too if you prefer)
    4 oz Gin
    1 oz Rosemary Syrup
1 Branch of Fresh Rosemary for Garnish

Find your preferred cocktail glass and add blackberries and muddle them good so you get most of the juice out. In your cocktail shaker add Gin, rosemary syrup and fresh lime-juice and top of with ice. Shake well for 10 seconds and add everything to your glass filled with muddled blackberries. Stir for a second to get the blackberry mix to blend well with the alcohol. For garnish add a rosemary branch for the top. In minutes you have this French refreshing drink. I hope you like it as much as I do.
